The Good Hedging Company are fully licensed waste carriers.

Regular hedge cutting keeps your garden looking its best and helps your hedges stay healthy for longer.
When left to grow unchecked, a hedge can become so heavy that it begins to collapse under its own weight.
Many hedges are also difficult and time‑consuming to maintain, but with our experience, specialist tools and practical approach, we take that burden off your hands.
Hedges can be trimmed throughout the year, although extra care is required during spring to protect wildlife.
From the moment you get in touch, you can expect clear communication, prompt replies, and a confirmation message a few days before your appointment.
We work to a high standard, pay close attention to detail and check that you are happy with the results before we leave.
Our team works efficiently and flexibly, always aiming to meet your needs while maintaining a safe working environment.

We are fully insured, qualified and committed to completing all work in line with safety guidelines.
We take great care to leave your property tidy, removing and disposing of debris responsibly as licensed waste carriers.
Before starting any job, we inspect for nesting birds, as it is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to disturb an active nest. If we find evidence of nesting, we postpone work until the season has passed.
We can handle hedges of any height and, if required, we can bring a mobile elevating work platform to ensure safe access.
Where a hedge sits on or crosses a boundary, all neighbours share responsibility for its upkeep and should agree on major work in advance. If a neighbour’s hedge encroaches onto your property, you may trim across the boundary although it is always courteous to speak with them first.
Conversely, if your neighbour is carrying out the work and any part of the hedge needs to be accessed from your side, your neighbour should request permission before work begins.
